About meRoody Barthèlemy, teacher, editor, translator/interpreter, and writer is a published author and has presented at the national level on the issues of community translation and interpreting (38th Annual ATA Conference in San Francisco, CA). Mr. Barthèlemy has contributed several articles with international and local publications such as New York’s Haiti-Progrès, and Florida’s prestigious The Palm Beach Post EducationRoody Barthèlemy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a minor in History and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Canbourne, U.K. He also holds a court certification in legal translation and interpreting from the Fifteenth Judicial Courthouse of Palm Beach County, FL. ExperienceMr. Barthèlemy is a former secondary school teacher who has taught French literature and History for several years. In the United States, Mr. Barthèlemy has been working with the School District of Palm Beach County for more than fifteen years. Mr. Barthèlemy is an original member of the District’s Multicultural Education Department and has served as a leader for the Creole Translation Team in many instances. In recent years, he has participated in the training of more than 300 school-based community language facilitators.
